Bintan Island presents a formidable cycling challenge of three stages with a total distance of 265km on 11, 12 and 13 November 2011.
The Tour de Bintan will unveil to you the true Indonesia. As you ride past traditional fishing villages, dense lush green forests, beautiful unspoiled beaches, expect jubilant spectators, clapping and cheering at this yearly spectacle of speed and colour.
We expect again some fierce competition for the Yellow, Sprint Ace and King of the Mountain jerseys and heroic feats of determination to beat the elements and complete the stages within the set time limits.
See you on the Road!

Tour de Bintan tested the mettle of nearly 800 cyclists this weekend. Congratulations to all!

Competition hotly contested with local hero Heksa Priya Prasetya taking the men’s title

World Champion and 2010 Tour de Bintan ambassador,
Cameron Meyer, comments on Tour de Bintan.

"The Tour de Bintan is a great race with scenic surroundings, a varied terrain and certainly a testing route!"

Well done on organising a fantastic event this weekend – it was my first race and although unbelievably hot on stage 1, I’ll certainly be back for more next year. Am very happy to have finished 5th overall Cat 3 and was also great to have advice and comments from Cam and Travis Meyer at the dinner.
Robert Matthew Eadon, Category 3 Rider, ANZA Cycling
Let me congratulate the organisation on the best Amateur event i and indeed the HK SIR club has been priveledged enough to compete in. MetaSport should be extremely proud of the organisation and execution of the event. It was outstanding. the Team had a ball and I’m sure we will have a team in each category to contest next year. The organization of the event is one of the main draws as it makes life a lot easier for a bunch of time poor HK bods to book , travel and compete.
David McIntosh, Category 2 Rider, HK SIR
The Operation Smile team had a great time even though it was so brutal and challenging. We now know we must train in Bintan and NOT Singapore for this race!
