The movement is open to MetaSprint Series, Tour de Bintan, Bintan Triathlon, and IRONMAN 70.3 Bintan events. Know more about the movement and help make the world better one step, pedal or stoke at a time.
Damien Lavin’s is a sports enthusiast who lost her mother to breast cancer at the age of 12. His great passion for family and sports made him start a charity initiative called Race for Mum. Race for mum was born out of Damien’s personal search for a way to focus my training, connect with my mum and raise money for a good cause.
While there are a lot of charity efforts supporting female causes, Damien wanted to create a movement that allows people to compete and raise money for a charity of their choice, but for the overarching motivation simply to be people challenging themselves and racing for their mums – appreciating all mothers and the wonderful things that they do, whether they have been affected by illness or not.
The goal is simple: to help initiate fundraising of $1 million by 2020 for female related charities. For this cause, Damien has personally committed to completing 760kms of racing this year . He will be taking part in the following MetaSport events. If you are in the events and you see someone clad in baby pink and blue tri-suit, go cheer him on!

19 MARCH Metasprint Duathlon, Singapore
23 APRIL Metasprint Triathlon, Singapore
